Liverpool make ambitious loan move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder

Liverpool have contacted Paris Saint-Germain about a possible loan move for Julian Draxler in January, reports L’Equipe, via The Daily Mail.

Draxler only joined PSG in January but has been heavily linked with a move away from the Ligue 1 giants since the end of last season.

The Germany international has performed well for PSG but has fallen down the pecking order since Neymar and Kylian Mbappe were signed over the summer.

Liverpool have previously been interested in the 24-year-old and are now ready to firm up their interest with the promise of regular first-team football.

However, Draxler is still happy at PSG despite a lack of football and it remains to be seen whether he would be willing to give up on playing for Unai Emery’s side after just 12 months.

The former Schalke midfielder has started seven league games this season and played a direct hand in four Ligue 1 goals (2 goals, 2 assists).
