Manchester United aim to wrap up swift deal for Serie A winger

Manchester United want to conclude a swift deal for Inter winger Ivan Perisic before the Serie A giants fly out for their pre-season tour of China next Tuesday, reports The Guardian.

Perisic was identified as one of four priority signings by United manager Jose Mourinho at the start of the season and the Premier League outfit have already completed two of those in the form of Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku.

Inter have reiterated they would only be willing to do business for the Croatia international if their £49m valuation is met and United have so far unsuccessful with a series of offers, the last of which stands at £40m.

Luciano Spalletti has maintained he wants to keep Perisic at the club for next season but the 28-year-old wants to join United this summer and Mourinho’s side are hopeful of concluding a deal worth £45m before Inter travel to the Far East next week.

No player created more clear-cut goalscoring opportunities than Perisic (16) in Serie A last season.
