Inter, Madrid and Barca target wants Palmeiras stay

Inter, Real Madrid and Barcelona have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Gabriel Jesus after the Brazilian wonderkid revealed he wants to stay at Palmeiras this season.

Jesus, 19, has been heavily linked with a high profile move to one of Europe’s biggest clubs this summer following his breathtaking start to the season with the Brazilian outfit.

However, the Brazil Under-23 international insists he has no intention of leaving Palmeiras this summer and wants to see out the rest of the season with them, which ends in December.

“Me, in Europe? Everything is already clear. My wish is to remain at Palmeiras,” Jesus is quoted as saying by FcInterNews.it, via Football Italia.

“I’ve got a lot of faith in my work, in the team’s and that of coach Cuca. We’re an excellent group and as I’ve always said, what I want to do is to stay here without thinking too much about Europe.

“That’s what I always wanted. My focus is entirely on Palmeiras. We’re fighting to win the championship and I’m very happy here.
