Paris Saint-Germain winger Ezequiel Lavezzi is expected to become the latest high-profile European-based player to make the lucrative move to the Chinese Super League, according to L’Equipe.
Lavezzi, 30, has entered the final six months of his current deal at the Ligue 1 champions and has been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea and Inter in recent weeks.
However, both look set to miss out on the Argentina international, who is expected to join Demba Ba, Fredy Guarin and Tim Cahill at Shanghai Shenhua this month.
Lavezzi has reportedly been left out of the squad to face Marseille on Sunday as his impending move to China moves ever closer.
The former Napoli winger has dropped down the pecking order since Angel di Maria’s arrival over the summer and has only started three league games as a result. He has not scored a league goal since the start of November (vs Toulouse).
