Manchester United will have an Alexis Sanchez-sized headache in the summer with Inter set to reject the chance to extend his stay at the club, reports The Daily Telegraph.
Sanchez joined Inter on an initial season-long loan deal in the summer but has failed to make any impact back in Serie A.
Fitness problems have blighted Sanchez's stint at Inter and now the COVID-19 pandemic has put Serie A completely on hold.
The 31-year-old is now poised to return to Old Trafford once the current campaign finally ends and United will have to find a new suitor for the former Arsenal forward for 2020/21.
Sanchez's stock has diminished substantially since joining United in January 2018 and he still has two years lef to run on his current £500,000-a-week deal.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does not plan to re-integrate Sanchez into his first-team plans for next season but the club will struggle to find a willing buyer for the versatile forward.
Sanchez has started just two Serie A matches for Inter this season and made a further seven league appearances from the bench.
He has been sent off as many times as he has found the back of the net in that time (both one).
