Inter ask for Manchester United player in return for Perisic

Inter are interested in asking for Anthony Martial in any deal that will see Ivan Perisic leave for Manchester United, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Jose Mourinho has earmarked the arrival of Perisic as one of four priority signings at Old Trafford this summer but United are yet to meet Inter’s £49m valuation of the player.

United have already had several offers rebuffed for the Croatia international and remain hopeful of completing a deal before Perisic is due to fly out for Inter’s pre-season tour of China on Tuesday.

Inter have already admitted they would be reluctant to lose Perisic and are particularly concerned how they will manage to replace a player as versatile as the 28-year-old.

The Serie A giants are interested in Martial and could request the France international on loan, although it remains to be seen whether Mourinho would sanction that deal given he is one of only three strike options at the club at present.

Martial endured a turbulent first season under Mourinho but United have so far turned down all loan bids for the 21-year-old.

In Serie A last season only two players attempted more crosses (excluding corners) than Perisic (198).
