Manchester United team news: Injured midfielder to return against Liverpool

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has revealed Marouane Fellaini is available for Saturday’s huge Premier League meeting with Liverpool.

Fellaini has been sidelined since suffering a knee injury against Tottenham at the end of January, missing United’s last six matches in all competitions.

The Belgium international hasn’t started a game for United since November 22 due to persistent knee troubles but Mourinho has revealed the 30-year-old will return on Saturday.

“Yeah, he [Eric Bailly] was fully fit for a couple of weeks. Yeah, but he’s okay. The only one that is back to the team is Fellaini,” Mourinho told United’s official website.

Fellaini is out of contract at the end of the season and latest reports suggest he will sign for Paris Saint-Germain when his contract expires with United.

The United midfielder has often played important roles in United’s success against Liverpool in recent times and Mourinho will be tempted to use him on Saturday, in what will be the 200th meeting between the two sides.

United have won all three Premier League matches that Fellaini has started this season, keeping clean sheets in all of them and averaging three goals per game.
