Roma have met with the agent of wantaway Leicester star Riyad Mahrez but Leicester are holding out for £48m, reports Italian outlet Leggo, via Football Italia.
Mahrez only signed a new long-term deal with the Foxes 12 months ago but informed the club back in May that he wants to leave this summer.
The Algeria international had hoped to secure a dream move to Barcelona but he appears to have missed out there, while Arsenal will only consider a move for the 26-year-old if they fail to land first choice target Thomas Lemar from Monaco.
However, Roma’s sporting director Monchi is looking to take advantage of the situation as they look to bolster their offensive options in the wake of Mohamed Salah’s £37m departure to Liverpool.

Leicester are holding out for a staggering £48m feee but the Italian giants are hoping to haggle and pay somewhere between £30m-35m.
Mahrez has been dribbled past more times than any other Premier League player in the last two campaigns (125).
