West Ham will only allow Dimitri Payet to leave the club this month for £35m, reports ESPN.
Payet, who turns 30 in March, has told the club he no longer wants to play for them in a bid to force a January exit during the transfer window.
The France international enjoyed a sensational start to life in the Premier League last season following a £10m switch from Marseille before taking his fine form into Euro 2016.
However, West Ham have endured a terrible season and now Payet wants out of the club with a return to Marseille mooted.
The West Ham ace has reportedly agreed terms with Marseille but the Ligue 1 outfit have already had two bids rejected and remain a long way of the Hammers’ £35m valuation.
West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has revealed Payet will no longer train or play with the first team until he sorts his attitude or is sold in the window, which remains unlikely at this time unless Marseille improve their recent £20m offer.
Despite West Ham’s disastrous campaign, Payet has still made the most key passes in Europe’s top five leagues this season (74).
