Inter in advanced talks to sign Man Utd outcast Sanchez permanently

Inter are confident they can strike a deal with Manchester United to make Alexis Sanchez's loan switch permanent, claims the Manchester Evening News.

Sanchez joined Inter on a season-long loan deal after being deemed surplus to requirements by United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Chile international struggled with injuries during the first half of the 2019/20 campaign but has been one of Inter's best players since the restart.

United are desperate to offload Sanchez permanently but the 31-year-old still has two years left to run on his eye-watering £400,000-a-week contract.

Finding a solution to Sanchez's wages will prove United's biggest obstacle this summer but the Red Devils are already in advanced talks with Inter.

Successfully removing Sanchez from their wage bill will free up extra room for United to accelerate their own transfer dealings this summer.

United are desperate to sign former Manchester City youngster Jadon Sancho but they are some way of Borussia Dortmund's £109m valuation.

Sanchez has played a direct hand in 12 Serie A goals this season having only scored or assisted nine Premier League goals in 18 months at United.
