West Ham striker Arnautovic wants Serie A return

West Ham forward Marko Arnautovic wants to return to Serie A and will be free to leave for €25m (£22.3m) this summer, claims Gianluca Di Marzio.

Arnautovic was close to leaving West Ham in January after his head was turned by interest from the Chinese Super League.

The Austria international ended up signing a bumper new deal with West Ham but Manuel Pellegrini will not stand in his way if the right offer comes in.

Inter have been linked with a surprise move to re-sign Arnautovic, but Antonio Conte’s preference is to land Edin Dzeko from Roma.

Conte wanted Dzeko during his time as Chelsea manager only to sign Olivier Giroud from Arsenal instead.

With West Ham targeting a new high profile striker, Inter will have no problem signing Arnautovic if they match his €25m valuation.

Arnautovic struggled with fitness issues towards the end of last season and ended up only starting 24 league matches.

Despite that, Arnautovic still managed to hit double figures for goals in the Premier League, doing so for the third season running as a West Ham player.
