Everton and Tottenham keen on Croatia international

Everton and Tottenham are pondering a summer move for Frankfurt forward Ante Rebic, claims The Daily Mirror.

Rebic is currently on international duty with Croatia at the 2018 World Cup but has caught the eye of Everton following their startling form in Russia.

Croatia finished above Argentina to top Group D and are now considered dark horses for the tournament after landing in the more favourable half of the knockout phase.

Rebic capitalised on a horrendous error from Argentina goalkeeper Willy Caballero to score a stunning volley against the South Americans in a shock 3-0 win and now has Premier League admirers.

Everton manager Marco Silva wants to bolster his offensive options this summer and is considering a move for the 24-year-old, while Tottenham are long-term admirers.

Frankfurt only made Rebic’s stay at the club permanent in December following an extended loan spell from Fiorentina but the Bundesliga side are now bracing themselves for offers.

Rebic, who can play in a variety of positions in attack, scored six goals and provided two assists in 25 league appearances for the German outfit last term, garnering a WhoScored rating of 6.96 in the process.
