Alexis Sanchez secures move away from Manchester United
Inter have confirmed the arrival of Manchester United outcast Alexis Sanchez on a season-long loan deal without an option to buy.
The Serie A giants have reportedly landed Sanchez without having to pay a loan fee and United have agreed to subside the majority of his eye-watering £500,000-a-week wages.
United have done whatever they can to offload Sanchez, who will go down as one of the club’s worst ever signings.
The Red Devils signed Sanchez from rivals Arsenal in January 2018 but the 30-year-old has been a huge flop.
Inter have completed their second raid of United this summer having also prised Romelu Lukaku away from the Red Devils.
Antonio Conte wanted to sign both Lukaku and Sanchez during his time as Chelsea manager and has finally landed both men in the same window at Inter.
United have opted againt offering Inter an option to buy Sanchez next summer, as they want to remain in control of his future and see how he gets on in Italy.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer deemed both Sanchez and Lukaku surplus to requirements after taking United in a different direction.
Solskjaer wants to restore United’s former glories and has prioritised pace and youth over Sanchez and Lukaku’s qualities.
Sanchez scored just three goals in 32 Premier League appearances for United during his 18-month stint at the club.
