Tottenham Transfer News: Spurs closing in on Dominic Solanke
Tottenham are closing in on the signing of Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth, reports the Athletic.
Solanke has emered as a top striker target for Spurs this summer, though Bournemouth were adamant the 26-year-old was not for sale.
However, the Cherries have since agreed to sell Solanke for a club-record fee, with the deal expected to be completed sooner rather than later.
Solanke has already agreed personal terms with Spurs and is desperate to secure a move to the north London side.
Spurs didn't sign a senior striker in the wake of Harry Kane's departure last summer, with Ange Postecoglou using Son Heung-Min or Richarlison as the focal point of the attack.
Richarlison has been linked with a move away from Spurs this summer however he moved to quash talk of switch to Saudi Arabia earlier this week.
"Some supporters may not have had him high on their wish list once it was clear Spurs would move for a striker, yet he ticks all the right boxes to succeed under Postecoglou." 🗣️@BenMcAleer1 looks at why #THFC have made their move to sign Dominic Solanke from #AFCB. 👇

Solanke enjoyed his best top-flight season to date having scored 19 goals for the Cherries, who finished 12th last season.
Spurs have endured a quiet window so far, bringing in just Archie Gray from Leeds and teenage winger Yang Min-hyuk, who will join up with the squad in January 2025.
