Spurs told to increase their offer for Netherlands international
Tottenham have had a €14m (£11.2m) bid for AZ Alkmaar striker Vincent Janssen rejected, according to The Guardian.
Mauricio Pochettino is keen to sign two new strikers this summer as Tottenham return to the Champions League and has earmarked the Netherlands international as one of his main transfer targets.
Janssen, 22, has three years remaining on his existing deal with Alkmaar but the Dutch side are demanding Tottenham meet their €20m (£16m) valuation of the frontman.
The Dutch striker finished last season as the top goalscorer in the Eredivisie (27) and scored more league goals than the likes of Lionel Messi, Gonzalo Higuain (both 20) and Sergio Aguero (17) in 2016 (Janssen – 21).
