A hat-trick at Wolves means no player has now scored more goals than Abraham (7) in England’s top tier this term as the hitman continues to go from strength-to-strength under Frank Lampard. The 21-year-old is one of a handful of youth team players benefitting from the club’s transfer ban to stake a claim for a regular spot in the Chelsea XI, with Mason Mount another young Chelsea player to feature.

The Englishman bagged his third league goal of the campaign in the Midlands on Saturday with his WhoScored rating of 7.82 enough to rank sixth in the rankings. Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne (7.83) is the player to keep Mount of the top five, though the Belgian has dropped three places. He is one of three Manchester City stars to make the top 10, which includes Raheem Sterling (7.92) and Sergio Aguero (7.87), who sit second and third, respectively.

Teemu Pukki (7.78) scored one and assisted another in Norwich’s surprise 3-2 win over Manchester City on Saturday, with the Finn maintaining his blistering start to Premier League life as he kept his spot in seventh. Son Heung-Min (7.83) is the only new qualifier in the top 10 and having missed the opening two league matches of the campaign, is making up for lost time.

The South Korean star netted twice in Tottenham’s 4-0 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday to return a WhoScored rating of 9.30 and feature alongside Abraham in the Premier League team of the week.

Premier League leaders Liverpool make up the the remaining three players in the top 10 with Roberto Firmino (8.02) keeping his place in first. The Brazilian may have started the 3-1 win over Newcastle on the bench, but his first half introduction for the injured Divock Origi was impressive as he registered a fine assist for Mohamed Salah’s second half goal against the Magpies.
