Salah and Aurier in focus in huge 22/1 Tottenham-Liverpool 'Request a Bet'

With Liverpool's unbeaten start stretched to 20-games as they beat Sheffield United last time out, the club's first ever Premier League title already looks to be in touching distance.

In fact, the talk has switched from whether the Reds can win the league to whether they can match Arsenal's feat of an 'invincible' season. As such, every opponent that they face between now and the end of the campaign will be motivated to snap their remarkable streak, and none more so than their hosts this weekend.

Tottenham's defeat to Southampton on New Year's Day, followed by a subsequent stalemate with Championship outfit Middlesbrough, has bought the club back down to earth with a thud following an initial reboot under Jose Mourinho. Spurs are now six points adrift of the Champions League places once more, and the Portuguese would love nothing better than to get back on track against an old adversary in Liverpool.

Ahead of the game of the weekend in England's top-flight, we've teamed up with Sky Bet to provide an exclusive 22/1 'Request A Bet' market, picking out four statistically driven selections.

Liverpool HT/FT

Our first tip is for the visitors to continue a longstanding trend of holding onto a first half lead. Indeed, Liverpool have been winning at half-time and full-time in each of their last seven league matches. While that wasn't the case in the reverse fixture between the two this season - with the Reds having to come from behind to record a fourth successive win over Spurs - it did play out in their three meetings previous.

Moreover, Tottenham have now conceded the first goal in each of their last five matches in all competitions, and before half time in each of their last four in the league. The defensive record has been a real problem throughout Mourinho's time at the club, and without top scorer Harry Kane to counteract those woes at the other end we can only envisage an away win.

Tottenham 30+ booking points

Having now won just one of their last five matches, frustrations in the Tottenham camp are beginning to show on the pitch under Mourinho and even off it, with the manager booked himself in the defeat to Saints. In fact, over their last five league matches, Spurs have picked up more cards (20) than any other Premier League team.

The Londoners have also received at least three yellows in each of said matches, and up against a team as strong as Liverpool, some underhand tactics may be required to break up the Reds' rhythm and swift counter attacks. With a yellow card equating to ten booking points, the hosts would only need to receive another three for tip two to come in.

Serge Aurier to make 4+ tackles

The Ivorian full-back is far from a fan favourite at Tottenham but does get through more defensive work than the rest of his teammates. There's a reason for that, however, with Aurier often targeted by opponents as a weak link and up against the sensational Sadio Mane, he's set for another busy day at the office.

The 27-year-old leads the way for Spurs in tackles per 90, averaging 3.4, while producing 29 in total in seven league outings since the start of December (4.1 per game) - the joint most in the Premier League in that time.

Mohamed Salah to attempt 4+ shots

With seven goals in 11 appearances against Tottenham, a fully rested Mo Salah will be raring to go this weekend. He's only netted more times against Watford in his career, and will be keen to prove a point to Jose Mourinho too this time around after the Portuguese deemed him to be surplus to requirements when the two worked together at Chelsea.

The Egyptian is far from shot shy at the best of times, firing off 23 in his last five league matches, and always appears to be particularly confident against Spurs. Salah has had at least four shots in his last five appearances against this weekend's hosts, averaging 4.8 per game across his six outings in this fixture for the Reds.
