Frank Lampard is facing the prospect of missing the remainder of the MLS season with a calf injury, according to The Daily Mail.
The 38-year-old was forced off minutes before the break in New York City’s 2-2 draw against Dallas on Sunday with a reoccurrence of the calf problem that plagued his first year in MLS.
Lampard has developed into a key member of Patrick Vieira’s side this season but is now facing up to a month on the sidelines, which would see him miss the remainder of the season.
Of players to have scored at least five goals in MLS this season Lampard has the best conversion rate (36.4%).
