Barcelona poised to make €25m bid for France international

Barcelona are set to bid €25m (£19.6m) for Lyon defender Samuel Umtiti, according to L’Equipe, via Get French Football.

Luis Enrique’s side are expected to bolster their defence in the summer and have been linked with a raft of defenders as a result.

Barcelona can expect competition from Roma but Umtiti has already made it clear to his agents and Lyon that he wants to join the La Liga champions this summer.

No Lyon player averaged more passes per game in Ligue 1 last season than Umtiti (64.4).
