AC Milan are determined to land Manchester United target Andrea Belotti and have now offered Torino €40m (£35m) plus Gabriel Paletta and M’Baye Niang, reports Sky Italia, via Football Italia.
The Serie A giants will have spent nearly £150m on new players when they complete a stunning deal to sign Leonardo Bonucci from Juventus this weekend and the Milan hierarchy have no intention of reigning in their summer spending spree.
Despite making Andre Silva one of the club’s most expensive players of all-time already this summer, Vincenzo Montella’s side want to sign another big name striker and are keen to get a deal over the line for Belotti, who has also attracted interest from Chelsea and United.
Torino president Urbano Cairo only revealed earlier this week that he believes Belotti is out of reach of the Italian sides this summer but Milan are still continuing negotiations with their rivals.
Milan’s latest package is valued at around €65m (£56.9m), which is still below Belotti’s €100m (£87.6m) release clause for foreign clubs, but a deal is getting closer for the Italy international, who self-confessed Rossoneri supporter.
Only Edin Dzeko (29) and Dries Mertens (28) scored more goals in Serie A last season than Belotti (26), while no player won more penalties in Europe’s top five leagues than the Torino star (5).
