Pep Guardiola has identified Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud as one of the first players he wants to sign as Manchester City manager in the summer, reports Bild.
City have announced that the Bayern Munich head coach would replace Manuel Pellegrini at the end of the season and the confirmation has already sparked a flurry of players to be linked with the two-time Premier League champions.
Twenty-year-old Dahoud is now the latest player to be linked with a move to City, although Guardiola may encounter competition from Juventus and Manchester United to sign the central midfielder.
The Germany Under-19 international has had 21 shots in Bundesliga this season but a staggering 15 have come from outside the box.
