Manchester United will test Borussia Dortmund's resolve to keep hold of star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with a bid of £70m, reports the Daily Mail.
The Manchester giants are struggling for form in the Premier League this season, with a new frontman high on the agenda for United.
Aubameyang has excelled in the Bundesliga this term, netting more goals (20) than any other player in Germany's top tier.
The 26-year-old has since gained a lengthy list of admirers across Europe, with United hoping to steal a march on their rivals in the race to sign the Dortmund star.
The Bundesliga side are understandably keen to hold onto their prized striker, though will find it hard to turn down a bid of £70m from United for his services.
Despite lingering doubts over Louis van Gaal's future at Old Trafford, work is still going on behind the scenes regarding new arrivals, with Aubameyang thought to be one the club's top targets.
