Romelu Lukaku is ready to upset Everton and force a move back to Chelsea through this summer, reports The Daily Telegraph.
The Belgium international was convinced to remain at Everton this season by manager Ronald Koeman despite interest from Chelsea last summer but the Premier League ace is now ready to leave Goodison Park.
Lukaku joined Everton from Chelsea on a permanent deal in 2014 worth £28m but the 23-year-old has told Koeman he will not sign a new deal and wants to leave at the end of the season.
Chelsea are expected to strengthen their offensive options in the summer regardless of whether they are able to keep Diego Costa and Lukaku would certainly seem an accessible target although they might need to pay more than double what they sold him for.
The fact that Lukaku’s current Everton deal doesn’t end until 2019 gives Everton a position of strengthen in bargaining but their star striker is ready to force through a move back to Stamford Bridge that could upset his current club.
Lukaku, who was named in the PFA Team of the Year this season, is currently leading the race for the Premier League golden boot (24 goals).
