West Ham plan third bid for Chelsea striker

West Ham are plotting a third bid for Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi, reports the Sunday express.

Batshuayi has struggled for regular game time at Stamford Bridge following his big money arrival from Marseille last summer, registering just 113 minutes of top-flight action under Antonio Conte.

The Belgium international is in desperate need of regular game time if he is to realise his immense potential and West Ham would offer the youngster crucial minutes to help develop.

The Hammers have tried to sign Batshuayi in the last two transfer windows, only to be knocked back in their attempts to secure the 23-year-old’s services, and are hoping it’s a case of third time lucky in the summer.

West Ham are eager to get their summer business done early this year and believe they can convince Batshuayi to move to the London Stadium, if only on loan, as they strive to improve their attacking options.

Batshuayi is contracted to Chelsea until 2021, so it’s unlikely the Blues will sell at the end of the season, but a loan move would be beneficial to both player and club with West Ham ready and willing to take the former Marseille from west to east London.
