Unpopular German side RB Leipzig are interested in signing Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford in the summer, reports The Sun.
Pickford has been one of few bright points for Sunderland this season and the Black Cats will find it very difficult to keep hold of the 23-year-old if they are relegated to the Championship.
The England goalkeeper has already been linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer but he has now emerged as a shock target for Bundesliga side Leipzig.
Ralph Hassenhuttl’s side have enjoyed a stunning first season in the Bundesliga and are ready to expand their squad as their prepare for European football next season with an eye on some Premier League talent.
With relegation a foregone conclusion, Leipzig are ready to table a £12m bid for the Sunderland ace in order to beat off competition from Premier League sides. Pickford has been nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year award this season and currently features in the WhoScored Premier League Team of the Season.
