Everton have ended their pursuit of Joe Hart after being put off by the £7m loan fee Manchester City are demanding, reports The Daily Mail.
Hart, 29, has been told to find a new club by City with Barcelona goalkeeper Claudio Bravo expected to join before the transfer window shuts.
The England international wants a loan move before making up his mind on his future next summer but has now been left in limbo after frontrunners Everton pulled out of the race.
City are reportedly demanding a £7m fee for any club to take Hart on loan for the rest of the season and Ronald Koeman is not prepared to sanction that deal following Maarten Stekelenburg’s form at the start of the season.
In the last five Premier League campaigns Hart has at least nine more clean sheets than any other goalkeeper (60).
