Netherlands international rules out Napoli switch

Davy Klaassen insists he is committed to Ajax and has no intention of joining Napoli in the summer.

Napoli failed in their attempts to sign the 23-year-old in January and there had been suggestions they would renew their interest at the end of the season.

Klaassen, 23, still has three years remaining on his current deal and sees no reason to leave before 2019.

“I have no intention of joining Napoli. I want to stay at Ajax,” Klaassen told Ajax Life, via Football Oranje.

“Of course, you never know what will happen. I could fall out with the club or something like that. But that is very much unlikely to happen. I just mean that it is never 100 per cent certain that I will stay.

“But I do not plan to leave the club. I’m a true Ajaxied.”
