The Chinese Super League is prepared to offer an England international a rumoured £800,000-a-week to move to the Far East, reports the Daily Mail.
Top officials have made no secret of their desire to put the Chinese Super League on the map and have cash to burn in their bid to establish the league as one of the best in the world.
Oscar and John Obi Mikel recently swapped the Premier League for Chinese Super League, but the hope now is for a England player to make the move to China.
The hope is to lure a young England international to the league, with Tottenham pair Harry Kane and Dele Alli, Everton’s Ross Barkley and Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge all mooted.
Wayne Rooney and John Terry remain top targets for the CSL, but their attention will switch to a compatriot provided the duo can be convinced to move to the other side of the world.
Tottenham will of course be keen to retain the services of Kane and Alli, who only recently penned new deals for Spurs, but Barkley has just 18 months left to run on his current deal, while Sturridge could be attainable should he look to leave Liverpool.
