Marco Verratti’s Paris Saint-Germain future hinges on one thing
Europe’s biggest clubs have been given encouragement in their pursuit of Marco Verratti with news the Italian midfielder will seek to force a move away from Paris Saint-Germain if the club fails to make big signings in the summer, reports Le Parisien, via Get French Football.
Verratti had previously ruled out a summer move away from PSG after reiterating his desire to win the Champions League with the club but the Italy international has asked himself questions about the club following their humiliating exit in Europe at the hands of Barcelona.
The Ligue 1 giants blew a four-goal advantage from the first leg to crash out of the Champions League earlier this year and Verratti expects PSG to go big in the summer transfer window or risk losing one of their star players.
Verratti revaled earlier this month that his dream would be for PSG to sign Neymar from Barcelona, but that would seem a transfer out of the question at this stage, while Chelsea and Juventus will surely be monitoring Verratti’s future having been heavily linked with him this season.
Only PSG teammate Thiago Motta (89.9) averages more passes per game in Ligue 1 this season than Verratti (83.7).
