Hulk set for €55m record move to China

Shanghai SIPG have signed Hulk from Zenit St. Petersburg for an Asian record €55m (£45.7m), reports Sky Sports.

Hulk, 29, will travel to China to complete a move ahead of a record move to Sven Goran Eriksson’s side, breaking the £38m Jiangsu Suning paid Shakhtar Donetsk for Alex Teixeira at the start of the year.

Shanghai are currently 12 points behind Chinese Super League leaders Guangzhou Evergrande and hope Hulk’s arrival can spur them on to mount a dramatic turnaround in the title race.
