Chelsea struggling to keep hold of title winning manager

Chelsea are finding it increasingly difficult to retain the services of title winning manager Antonio Conte, reports the Sunday Express.

The Blues will be awarded the Premier League title when they welcome Sunderland to Stamford Bridge today, with Conte crucial in attaining the trophy.

The Italian manager, though, has refused to confirm that he will stay at the club beyond the summer, even amidst reports that a new deal is on the table to convince him to stay.

This has alerted Inter, who are on the lookout for a new manager following the sacked of Stefano Pioli and have been heavily linked with Conte, along with Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Any move for Conte would rile Juventus fans, with the Serie A champions-elect and Inter enduring a heated rivalry in recent years.

The 47-year-old has just a year left to run on his current contract in west London and has been living in England on his own for the last 12 months and is looking to be reunited with his family one way or another.

Inter meanwhile are prepared to offer Conte a £20m-a-year contract to take over at San Siro, with Chelsea hoping to open negotiations over a new deal at the end of the month after the FA Cup final, where the Blues face rivals Arsenal.
