Huddersfield want to bolster their offensive options this summer and have earmarked AC Milan outcast Andre Silva as a potential transfer target, claims Sky Sports.
The Terriers beat the drop last season but were the Premier League’s lowest scorers (28 goals) and David Wagner is targeting a new striker to help them improve in attack.
Milan shelled out £33.6m to sign Silva 12 months ago but the Portugal international endured an underwhelming first season for the Serie A giants and is now being linked with a summer move away.
Championship winners Wolves have also been mooted as a possible destination for Silva this summer, but now Nuno’s side will face competition from Huddersfield.
The 22-year-old has been included in Portugal’s 23-man squad for the 2018 World Cup and Huddersfield could face increased competition if he performs well in Russia.
Silva made 24 league appearances for Milan last season, but only seven of those came as a starter. He only scored two goals in that time, but did enjoy greater success in the Europa League, netting six times in 10 games.
