Manchester City have entered the race to sign Gladbach midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud, according to German newspaper Bild, via The Sun.
Liverpool failed to sign Dahoud during the summer and Jurgen Klopp is expected to step up his interest in the Germany Under-21 international at the end of the season.
However, Klopp could race competition from City after Pep Guardiola was reportedly overheard telling Gladbach’s sporting director Max Eberl he is interested in the central midfielder after their 4-0 win over the Bundesliga side in midweek.
Dahoud won possession in the midfield third at least two more times than any other player on display at the Etihad on Wednesday night (5).
