Borussia Dortmund keen for Aubameyang Arsenal switch to happen soon

The Mirror are reporting that the Borussia Dortmund hierarchy are becoming increasingly keen to see the back of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, as the transfer saga is having a negative impact on performances.

Dortmund have drawn their two league matches following the winter break, with their star striker not involved in either, and the press that the Gabonese international has received in Germany has not been good in recent weeks.

The situation is becoming a distraction and one that the club are now thought to be keen to be rid of as they await an offer from Arsenal that meets their valuation, having already rejected two bids.

The Gunners are thought to be preparing an improved offer but may look to utilise the issues at the Bundesliga club as a way of getting a better price for the 28-year-old.

The forward is believed to be in contention to feature against Freiburg in the league this afternoon, with all eyes on whether he is included in the match day squad this time around.

BVB have certainly suffered in his absence to now, with just one goal in their two matches this year without Aubameyang, who has bagged 13 in 15 league appearances.

The former Saint Ettiene star’s pedigree is unquestionable after all, notching 31 times in the Bundesliga last season to better an excellent individual record of 25 set the season previous.
