Nice sign Ajax sensation Dolberg

Ligue 1 outfit Nice have announced the arrival of Ajax sensation Kasper Dolberg in a deal worth a reported €20m (£18.3m).

Dolberg leaves Ajax after three years at the club.

Nice, who were taken over by British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe earlier this week, have pulled off a coup to land Dolberg and even fended off competition from Hoffenheim.

The 21-year-old burst onto the scene during his first season at Ajax but has struggled with injuries in the last few years and grew unsettled in Amsterdam.

Iconic Netherlands forward Klaas Jan Huntelaar was even above Dolberg in the pecking order for places by the end of his time at the club.

Dolberg returned 16 goals in 26 league appearances in the 2016/17 campaign only to start 11 times the following season and 15 matches last term.

The former Golden Boy nominee scored 33 goals in 78 league appearances for Ajax in total, netting every 146.7 minutes of action for the Dutch giants.
