Laurent Blanc’s agent has played down suggestions he is in the running the succeed Roy Hodgson as the next England manager.
The search for England’s next manager has already begun after Roy Hodgson resigned in the aftermath of England’s shambolic Euro 2016 campaign, which culminated in them being knocked out by minnows Iceland.
The Football Association are reportedly already considering moves for Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and his French colleague Blanc, who was sacked as Paris Saint-Germain manager earlier this month, is not thinking about the vacant post at Wembley just yet.
“Laurent Blanc at the head of the England national team? We have not at all thought about that,” Jean Pierre Bernes told Europe 1, via Get French Football.
“For the moment, he is on holiday. We will see for his future. We are not going to do something completely random, we have never done things like that. We will see what presents itself. We are not going to take work for the sake of working.”
The 50-year-old finished his three-year stint at PSG with a win ratio of 72.8% from his 173 matches in charge (126 wins).
