Chelsea remain determined to sign Borussia Dortmund striker
Chelsea remain keen to sign Erling Haaland in the summer, even after the appointment of Thomas Tuchel on Tuesday, reports The Daily Mail.
Tuchel succeeded Frank Lampard at the Stamford Bridge helm following his departure on Monday, with the board unhappy at the club dropping to ninth on the back of a huge summer splurge.
It remains to be seen who will benefit from Tuchel's arrival in west London, though high-profile German signings Kai Havertz and Timo Werner are set to benefit from the appointment of their compatriot.
And even after the big money capture of Werner, Chelsea are still determined to sign Haaland from Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season.
Tuchel will hand Tammy Abraham the opportunity to consolidate a first team spot, yet Haaland is a supposed priority for the Blues as they look to sign another striker.
The 20-year-old has been a revelation for Borussia Dortmund following his arrival from Salzburg last January and has scored 14 league goals for this struggling Dortmund side this season.
However, one player who will not be joining Haaland at Stamford Bridge is West Ham's Declan Rice, with Chelsea supposedly cooling their interest in the England international in the wake of Lampard's dismissal.
