Leicester weigh up move for former Manchester City defender
Leicester are interested in signing free agent Bacary Sagna to help bolster their defensive options, reports ESPN.
Sagna has been without a club since being released by Manchester City at the end of last season and is even willing to take a pay cut to find a new team.
The former France international was reportedly earning over £100,000-a-week at City but will struggle to get anywhere near that amount as he approaches his 35th birthday.
However, Leicester are weighing up a move for the right-back in order to provide competition for places with Danny Simpson.
Sagna only managed 14 league starts for City last season but has spent the last 10 years in the Premier League and would have no trouble adapting to life at Leicester.
Pep Guardiola's side actually had a far superior win ratio in the league with Sagna in the starting XI (78.6%) compared to when he did not feature from the off (50%).
