Borussia M. Gladbach are looking to appoint former Wolfsburg manager Dieter Hecking as their new manager during the winter break, reports Sport1.
The Bundesliga outfit sacked Andre Schubert earlier today after a poor run of results that has left them just two spots outside of the relegation places.
However, Gladbach look set to move quickly and have set their sights on Hecking, who was dismissed as Wolfsburg coach in October following a similarly poor start to the campaign.
Hecking has great experience in Germany and even started his senior playing career with Gladbach during a two-year stint before moving to Hessen Kassel in 1985.
The 52-year-old has failed to win any of his last six games as manager, losing seven of his last 14 in charge of Wolfsburg.
