Donnarumma was offered to Real Madrid

AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was offered to Real Madrid by his agent Mino Raiola, claims Mediaset Premium, via Football Italia.

Donnarumma will only have 12 months remaining on his current Milan deal this summer and the teenager is currently mulling over the club’s latest contract offer.

Vincenzo Montella’s side have been very active in the transfer window already this summer but could be forced to cash in on their star man if he fails to agree new terms or face the risk of losing him for nothing next summer.

The 18-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to a number of the biggest clubs in Europe and it has now emerged Raiola tried to broker a transfer to Madrid only to be turned down by president Florentino Perez.

The European champions were expected to rekindle their interest in Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea this summer but have now ended their pursuit and instead placed their faith in current No.1 Keylor Navas after his strong end to the season.

Donnarumma enjoyed a stunning first full campaign as a senior footballer last season and finished 2016/17 in the WhoScored team of the season from Europe’s top five leagues (7.05).
