Real Madrid have announced Gareth Bale has put pen to paper on a new six-year deal worth a record £150m keeping him at club until 2022.
The reigning European champions have already secured the long-term services of Luka Modric, Lucas Vazquez and Toni Kroos this season and are expected to wrap up Cristiano Ronaldo’s future next.
Bale, 27, has developed into one of the world’s best players since joining Madrid in 2013 for a then world-record £85m.
Since the start of last season Bale has scored more headed goals than any other player in La Liga (11).
