Bale's agent rules out Real Madrid exit

The agent of Gareth Bale insists his client intends to see out the last two years of his Real Madrid contract before weighing up his future.

Bale's relationship with Madrid head coach has plummeted to new lows in recent weeks and the Welshman was even left out of the squad for their last league game of the season.

The Wales international did not make an appearance in any of Madrid's last seven league matches and Zidane is desperate to offload him this summer.

Bale came close to securing a blockbuster move to China 12 months ago before Madrid pulled the plug on discussions.

Manchester United have been regularly linked with a move for Bale in recent years but have now moved their interest on.

A return to Tottenham on loan has also been suggested but Bale's agent, Jonathan Barnett, has ruled out a temporary move away from Madrid.

"Gareth is fine. He has two years left on his contract," he told BBC Sport. "He likes living in Madrid and he is going nowhere. He is still as good as anyone else in the team. It's up to Zinedine Zidane.

"Of course there's been interest. But there's hardly a club in the world which can afford him. It's a great loss that he's not in the Real Madrid team at the moment, but he will not leave.

"Gareth is not looking to outlast Zinedine Zidane. Mr Zidane has been very successful. There's no hatred. Mr Zdane just does not want to play him. Gareth trains every day and he trains well.

"He wants to play for Wales at Euro 2020. He always wants to play well for Wales. Gareth is one of the best players in the world. The best players in the world do not go out on loan."

Bale was limited to just 12 league starts this season and returned only two goals. Since joining Madrid in 2013, Bale has started just 54.5% of available league matches.
