Real Madrid to offer up striker to help land Manchester City target

Real Madrid are willing to offer Luka Jovic in a part-exchange for Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz in a bid to convince the Italian side to lower their £70m asking price, reports The Mail.

Ruiz is currently on the radars of a host of Premier League sides, including Manchester City and Liverpool, while Real Madrid are keen to bring the midfielder back to Spain.

While Napoli have faltered in Serie A this season, Ruiz remains an impressive performer for the Partenopei, who are currently sixth in Italy's top tier.

Ruiz is currently making more passes per game (74.8) than any other player in Serie A this term as his stock continues to soar.

And Real Madrid are looking to improve their midfield in the off-season, with Ruiz one of their top targets.

Los Blancos are now prepared to throw in Jovic to help sweeten the deal and convince Napoli to lower their asking price for Ruiz.

22-year-old Jovic has been heavily linked with a move away from Real Madrid in recent weeks with the Serb struggling for game time and form in Spain's capital.
