Cardiff have confirmed the arrival of Real Betis midfielder Victor Camarasa on a season-long loan deal.
The 24-year-old only joined Betis 12 months ago but struggled to establish himself as a first-team regular at the Spanish club.
Cardiff have been desperately looking to bolster their midfield ranks this summer and have made a deadline day signing in the shape of Camarasa.
Neil Warnock has watched fellow newly-promoted sides Wolves and Fulham make blockbuster signings this summer but Cardiff have not even been in the same ballpark as their rivals.
Camarasa is the fifth player Cardiff have signed this summer but they have only spent just over £30m in that time, while Fulham matched that fee in signing Jean Seri from Nice alone.
Camarasa made 24 league appearances for Beits last season but only 14 of those were as starts. Of players that made at least 10 starts in La Liga last term, Camarasa ranked among the top-10 lowest WhoScored rated players (6.34).
