Tottenham have confirmed forward Nacer Chadli will miss the next six weeks after suffering ankle ligament damage against Liverpool on Saturday.
Chadli, 26, was stretchered off after just 11 minutes in Spurs’ 0-0 draw with Liverpool at the weekend.
The Belgium international will now be sidelined until the festive period as he begins his six-week rehabilitation. In that time, Chadli will miss three London derbies against Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham as well as league and cup competitions.
Since the start of last season, only Harry Kane (22) has scored more goals than Chadli in the Premier League for Spurs (12).
