Arsenal manager Unai Emery is close to reuniting with Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez, claims Gianluca Di Marzio.
Suarez is free to leave Barcelona for the second time in his career after failing to make any impression under Ernesto Valverde in the last two years.
AC Milan and Roma have also expressed an interest in the 24-year-old but Suarez has elected to join Arsenal to work under Emery once again.
Suarez was a first-team regular under Emery during a loan stint at Sevilla in 2014/15 where he won the Europa League.
Arsenal will lose Aaron Ramsey on a free transfer at the end of the season and Emery has seemingly identified Suarez as his replacement.
The former Spain international has not started a single game in league or European competition this season, instead managing 41 minutes of playing time across four substitute appearances.
Despite playing less than a half of football, Suarez boasts a poor pass success rate of just 71% this season.
