Rising Italian star worth €170m, claims super agent

AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is worth €170m (£125m), according to super agent Mino Raiola.

Donnarumma, 16, became the youngest goalkeeper to start a Serie A game earlier this season and has emerged as Milan’s new number one between the sticks.

The Italy Under-17 international has already courted comparisons to Juventus legend and fellow compatriot Gianluigi Buffon and his agent, who also represents Mario Balotelli, Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, believes the teen is worth in excess of £100m.

“I compare him with [painter Amedeo] Modigliani. His value is 170 million euros. He has a great future, he’s a great kid and he can become a great champion,” Raiola is quoted as saying by AS.

Of teenage goalkeepers to have featured across Europe’s top five leagues this season only Troyes’ shot stopper Paul Bernardoni (38) has made more saves than Donnarumma (24).
