Chelsea loan star Charly Musonda has revealed he has dreams of playing for Barcelona in the future.
The 19-year-old is currently making a name for himself on loan at Spanish outfit Real Betis where he has impressed since joining on a temporary basis at the end of January.
Musonda hasn’t even broken through into the Chelsea first-team yet but the ambitious forward has already announced his intentions to play for Barcelona in the future.
“Maybe I play at Barcelona in the future [laughs],” Musonda told Spanish paper AS. “I could do it, but then I chose Chelsea because of my family. In football you never know what will happen.
“Right now I do not know. We will see in summer. But there is a big chance that I will stay at Betis because I am very happy and everything is going perfect.
“This is a great club, there’s no doubt. Sometimes all a player needs is a chance to play. I was waiting for it. I wanted to show my football. Betis have been the perfect place.”
Of players to have made at least five league appearances since the start of February, only three have required fewer minutes per successful dribble than Musonda in La Liga (21 mins).
