Lyon set sights on Atletico Madrid duo in Lacazette deal
Lyon owner Jen-Michel Aulas will look to include Atletico Madrid brothers Theo and Lucas Hernandez in any deal that sees star striker Alexandre Lacazette join the Spanish giants, reports France Football, via AS.
Atletico have reportedly earmarked Lacazette as a top summer transfer target as they look to close the gap on Barcelona and city rivals Real Madrid once again but they will face competition for his signature should he be free to leave the French outfit.
Diego Simeone’s side are alleged to have already submitted a €60m (£52m) bid for Lacazette but could now face a counter offer that would see the two Hernandez brothers trade Spain for France after being identified as two of the most exciting young prospects on the continent by Aulas.
Theo, 19, has spent the season on loan with Spanish side Alaves and has enjoyed a thoroughly impressive campaign for Mauricio Pellegrino’s side, even attracting interest from Manchester City.
His older brother, however, has struggled to establish himself at Atletico this season despite being rated as one of the best young defenders and even landed himself in hot water at the start of last month when he was arrested on domestic abuse charges.
Only Filipe Luis (61) has completed more dribbles of all defenders in La Liga this season than Theo (55).
