Trapp ruled out for six weeks

Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Kevin Trapp will miss the next six weeks after injuring his thigh in training, according to Le Parisien.

Trapp, 25, joined the Ligue 1 champions over the summer from Frankfurt and has already usurped long-standing PSG goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu between the sticks this season.

The ex-German U21 international will now almost certainly miss PSG’s Champions League double-legged against Real Madrid.

Trapp ruled out for six weeks

Trapp has performed particularly well in Europe for Laurent Blanc’s side thus far. In fact, of all the goalkeepers in the Champions League, only Benfica’s Julio Cesar (7.38) has garnered a higher WhoScored rating than Trapp (7.33) thus far.
